Civille completed concept designs and construction documentation for a significant upgrade to the Picton Botanic Gardens Inclusive Playspace and Amenities.
Civille was lead consultant developing the landscape and civil designs for the park. Through a series of community engagement phases we developed concept designs, visualisations and detailed designs for the project.
The play space includes two separate play spaces connected by a sensory and musical play boardwalk that provides inclusive access across an existing floodway in the centre of the site. A range of play opportunities are provided with a unique play structure, water play, separate toddler and children’s play zones and a range of nature and imaginative play elements encouraging engagement and exploration of the gardens.
The gardens are well used by people living with disability and a new amenities building with accessible toilets which incorporate separate children sized pans and baby change facilities is also included in the upgrade improving inclusion for all.
