With significant new development planned for Western Sydney, how can we plan and design to improve community resilience to heat?
We’ve been working with the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) to develop a new urban heat planning toolkit – now available on WSROC’s website. It’s packed with information translating the science of urban heat into practical planning and design guidance for new development. While the back end is focused on the role of local planning provisions, the front end has broader relevance to anyone wanting to plan and design for better resilience to urban heat.
This includes own team – we’ll be applying this thinking in our planning and design projects. Please get in touch if you’d like to know more.
